Protocol for Installing/Hooking up a Dishwasher
- Run through 3 fill cycles and the manually drain, to make sure water connections get to full temp if line is still not hot keep going. then do paperwork and let the lines cool approx 30 mins and recheck tightness and for leaks.
- Leave front panel off and explain to client how high risk these connections are to leak and ask them to keep an eye on it for the first week after that front panel can go back on. always leave screws actually screwed in where they go even while the panel is off so they cant be lost.
Always hold backup on supply hose when tightening so as not to leave tension on the line as it can self loosen later. Brass and plastic and rubber all have different expansion and contraction with temperature change, so this connection on the bottom of the dishwasher a bad design.
